The National Federation of Retail Newsagents is to help members move towards energy efficient lighting by identifying the most appropriate products and helping to secure affordable deals, writes lighting.co.uk.
At the federation’s annual conference this month, a motion was put forward by the South Wales district council to “assist members in an effort to reduce their consumption of electricity by identifying ‘green’ affordable alternatives to shop light fittings and fridges”. This would be carried out through the NFRN’s Shop in a Box and/or Shoplink schemes.
Shop in a Box is a shop development scheme run by the NFRN, while Shoplink gives members access to deals and offers on products and services. The federation has 16,000 members.
